The incident soon caused several accusations of Homme being homophobic from several blogs[28][29]. Homme replied with a lengthy public letter denying all accusations of homophobia.[30][31]
Ebből, ugye, nagy vonalakban az derül ki, hogy a közönség soraiból megdobták üveggel (! nem csak feldobták a színpadra, hanem személyesen Őt érte az agresszió - a levelében azt mondja cipővel dobták meg) és Ő kiborult ilyeneket mondott, hogy mondjuk "..megbaszlak kis köcsög..." meg "...te kis buznyák.." meg "..arcon rúgom..." stb. ebből rögtön levonta a többség (akarom mondani több se kellett az 'újságíroknak', már úgysem volt miről írni) a következtetést: Josh homofób (a kőkorszak királynői? - van felesége, mielőtt félreértjük). Erre nyílt levélben így reagált:

Megjegyzem ha kiakadok én is szoktam a fentebb idézett mondatokat fejhangon kántálni, ettől függetlenül van meleg haverom, aki ráadásul szereti pl. a Unidát, a Kyuss-t, az AC/DC-t, Danziget stb. Persze én nem vagyok Josh Homme, ezért ki nem szarja le?
